The Big Idea

The idea for eatdrinkbaltimore.com was hatched out of a discussion over dinner at Annabel Lee Tavern in January 2009 out of a love of Baltimore’s unique restaurant and bar scene. At first, this site seemed like an excellent excuse to go out and experience as many new establishments and great meals as we could; it has turned into an opportunity to share with our community all that we love about Baltimore in a way that is accessible to the average couple looking for a memorable night out.

We will continue to grow and expand upon this idea by inviting other couples to comment and post on the site about their favorite neighborhood haunts, best recipes, and more.

Who We Are

Stacy Spakowsky and Ryan LaHam are self-proclaimed foodies who share a love for cooking and dining together in the Baltimore area. They are Food Network and cooking show addicts who can be found watching Top Chef, Kitchen Nightmares, Hell’s Kitchen, The F Word, Iron Chef, Iron Chef America, and Chopped any day of the week — that is, if they’re not playing poker. The couple lives in Baltimore in the Butchers Hill neighborhood, which is a short walking distance from some of the small culinary gems the city has to offer.
